 Dallas Branch Annual Show
 
 The National League of American Pen Women, Dallas Branch is pleased to announce a Call for Entries for Expressions 2010, A Visual Arts Competition.
The annual show will be at the The Wine Therapist in Lakewood, November 6 through December 12. The artists reception will be held on November 6, 6-8 pm. Deadline for entry is October 2, 2010. Entry is open to all artists, men and women, over the age of 18. Judge is Scott Peck, Curator, Museum of Biblical Art - Dallas. Susan Turconi, Juror Statement
 
Juror Biography
Susan Turconi holds an M.F.A from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She is a full time artist and freelance educator.   Her work is in the Pratt Institute, the New Jersey State Museum, the Newark Museum, the Bergen Museum of Art & Science and Rutgers University Museum.
Turconi has lectured and taught art history, art appreciation, workshops and studio classes at universities, colleges, art centers and various community groups.   She presently teaches Art Appreciation and Art History at State College of Florida.
In 2005, Sue was an invited featured speaker at the European Council of International Studies (see ECIS.org) Annual Conferences at the Hague n the Netherlands and the following year in Nice, France. Visual Literacy was the topic.

Eligibility: Women artists, age 18 or older, within the Mid-Atlantic region. • Exhibit dates: May 22- June 30, 2010. Reception – May 22, Noon to 3pm
Entry fee: $25 for up to 4 entries.
Deadline: Entries must be delivered to Delaware Agricultural Museum, Dover, DE on May 18-19, 2010, 10 am-2 pm. Will accept insured mailed entries with prepaid return postage – call for details
Sales & Prizes: Delaware Agricultural Museum/Holly Branch will retain 30% of all sales -- all art must be priced for sale, not exceeding $400. Following ribbons/awards will be presented: Best of Show; 1st place and 2nd place ribbons in all categories; honorable mentions at discretion of judge.
Categories: Two-dimensional, framed or flat, original fine art, any medium, no larger than 9” x 12” or 108 sq in, excluding frame; Three-dimensional original fine artisan pieces,hand-created by the artist, must not exceed 12" in any one direction; Literary art: poetry, prose, verse, short story, excerpt from poetry, novel, play, essay, short story, journal, chapbook (published or unpublished), 1 page printed in size 14 font, submitted as one-page framed entry. Paper size must not exceed a total of 108 sq in, excluding frame. • All entries marked on back with artist’s name; medium of 2D & 3D art; title or name of work; price; category (2D, 3D or Literary). Entries juried by 2 art professionals; artists notified of unselected art by May 20. • All unsold art must remain on exhibit until June 30. All unsold art to be picked up on July 1-2, 10 am – 2 pm.
