Debe and her husband Kevin are the owners of Abbott's Lake Country Studio, a custom-framing workshop and art studio in upstate New York. Maria maintains a creative interdependence with the printmaking process: the preparation of the plate and the paper, and the pulling of the print off the press. The result is always descriptive of the mirror's eye (a reverse image inherent of the printmaking process). Printmaking is a solitary aesthetic experience in which the process never lies. When the print is pulled, she knows whether her subject speaks to her — and others. Then Maria is able to share intimacies of the process through the visual participation of others beyond the mirror's eye.

June Keene describes "writing and speaking" as an inseparable unit, like the two sides of a coin – maintaining they should never be regarded as separate crafts. Robbie Miles learned the art of oriental brush painting while living in Taiwan in the early 1980s. In 2002, after a successful career as a CPA, she returned to painting. Biographical Notes
I was born in Portland, Oregon, and spent my early years playing on Oregon coast beaches which marks my art to this day, though I have lived most of my life in California. I have a BA and MLS from the University of California, Berkeley. I began painting in the early 1990’s, and am largely self-taught I have taken art classes and workshops in the San Francisco Bay area, at the local college.\ and from local artists.

Philosophy
I am an oil painter, fascinated by abstraction, three-dimensionality, motion, luminescence, color, shadows and reflection. Water is a favorite subject of mine, I often paint closeups of the flow of rivers, water forms on ocean beaches, pond reflections. Less frequently, I do more traditional landscapes. The outdoors anywhere is my “studio”. I work on a piece until I surprise myself, hoping to draw others into what I have finally seen, after intense focus.

Bernice is a graduate of Goddard College in Vermont and holds a Master of Art in sculpture and art history. She completed a post-graduate program at California State University at Northridge in Museum Practices. She taught sculpture at The Village in Van Nuys, California, for twenty-five years and, during twenty-three summers, directed stone-carving workshops in Pietrasanta, Italy. Bernice was the president of the Laguna Beach Branch for the 2006/2007 term. She also served as president from 2002 to 2004.

The adventure of travel with its constantly new and changing horizons is reflected in Fran's varied style and technique. Although her childhood was spent in Louisiana, Fran's life has been centered in the East Coast of Florida since her teen years. With this area as a base of operations, she has traveled much of our world as an avid and interested tourist. Her work ranges from acrylic, watercolor, or resin abstracts to carefully executed representational scenics and seascapes in oil. Fran is a member of the Ft. Lauderdale Branch (Florida).

She acquired her letters status in NLAPW by writing and illustrating her first children's picture book, Crunching Carrots, NOT Candy. The book was voted as one of the top 100 books for teachers and parents by the National Education Association. She continues writing and illustrating books to educate children, their parents, and fellow teachers in hopes of helping to prevent obesity. Judy resides in central California where she is a member of the Modesto Branch.

Linda works in oils, encaustic, acrylic, and watercolor. Her favorites are oil and encaustic. She has a line of greeting cards with words and some decoupage vases. Her most recent endeavor is fused glass jewelry. Linda is a member of the Orlando-Winter Park Branch (Florida) and is the new national art membership chair.

Mary is an award-winning fine artist who paints a variety of subject matter from studio still lifes to landscapes, done both in the studio and en plein air. Her creativity is always aroused by the natural organic environment that surrounds her. Employing a colorful palette and interesting brushwork, Mary's paintings invite the viewer to enter, inhale, and respond.
